Houses for Hire is thrilled to present this wonderful property for weekly rental starting in July 2004 while the owners take a sabbatical "back home". Mas des Lantins is beautifully restored by its architect owner and sits in a sublime environment with picture postcard views all around. It is just above Apt in the Luberon and lies below the perched hill village of Saignon. The front of the house overlooks the walled courtyard with a 300 year old yew tree, linden trees and across its own cherry orchards and lavender fields to the scenic Luberon. From the kitchen terrace and garden it gazes over the hills and valleys to watch the last rays of the setting sun over the Alpes de Haute Provence.
Being
the
permanent home of the owners Mas des Lantins offers wonderful
comfort.
One of our favourite features is the 20m x 2.5m lap pool fashioned to
look like the traditional bassin.
The pool is heated and provides year round swimming - though in winter
guest might dash to the pool house for a quick hot shower after their swim!
All season the illuminations allow a romantic night dip. Two cherry trees
and honeysuckle bushes don't hide the magnificent views from the pool.
On the main floor of the farmhouse there is a kitchen with dishwasher, fridge-freezer, oven and five-ring stove top
and the room opens via French doors onto a sunny breakfast terrace with outdoor dining furniture and a gas BBQ.
A seperate utility room has a wahsing machine, microwave and large freezer.
A huge rumpus room has a Bonzini pro table football, a computer, SKY satellite TV, VCR, DVD and CD player.
The peaceful living room has a huge sofa, a magnificent open fireplace and French doors opening to the stone pool
terrace with a summer dining room—again breathtaking views. There is a well stocked herb garden for your
own use, plus two cherry orchards, lavender fields, a walled courtyard with huge shade trees—
a dream of a place for your holiday.
Mas des Lantins has three double bedrooms one of which has beds that can
be separated into twins, plus one single bedroom in
the main house plus guest accommodation for two in the garden wing.
There are four luxury bathrooms plus one additional WC.
If you are planning a special occasion and want to be in the heart of Provence, Mas des Lantins
is a perfect choice for a carefree holiday. Should you want to leave this perfect setting to explore
the area, you are only minutes away from characteristic Provencal markets and historic hill towns:

Avignon TGV forty minutes, Marseille Airport one hour and Nice Airport three hours. Arles and
Aix-en-Provence are comfortable day trips, each being a 70 minute drive.
