Cuendet charges a $50 booking fee. Upon confirmation you have 24 hours to accept the
option, at which time the booking fee and 30% of the total rental rate is immediately due
as your deposit. No later than 60 days prior to arrival the final amount is due to Houses
for Hire. We do not add any extra costs to Cuendet’s listed tariff.
Some rentals require two week minimum. Rates
quoted in USD are subject to change should fluctuating currency rates require it.
Once a client gives confirmation of accepting the
rental booking cancellation and change fees apply. Changes of date incur a $35 fee.
Cancellations and changes must be in writing and
the date of arrival by fax or mail is considered the day of notice. Please consider travel
insurance to protect your holiday investment.
Cancellation of a booking , even if substituted
by another property, incurs the following penalites:
- 10% of the rental price if cancellation is made
more than 45 days prior to arrival date.
- 50% of the rental price if cancellation is made
between 44 and 30 days prior to arrival.
- 90% of the rental price if cancellation occurs
between 29 and 5 days prior to arrival.
- 100% if cancellation is made 5 days or less prior
to arrival.
Booking fees are non-refundable.
A security deposit in Lire will be asked by the
owner when you arrive. Telephone charges will be deducted from the security deposit.
All rental properties should be left neat and
tidy with all trash removed to the local collection box. The owner has the right to deduct
cleaning charges from your security deposit if the property is not in the condition in
which it was found. Cuendet Cie makes every effort to deliver the property as described.
If for any reason the guest has complaint, he is urged to present his problem directly to
the proprietor immediately and if necessary to notify the company by 8pm on arrival day.
Linens and water are always included in the rental rates, but some properties charge extra
for electricity use and gas. Heating is almost always charged additionally, as is
firewood. Some properties have a mandatory final cleaning charge which will be mentioned
in the property description.
Cuendet in particular requires immediate deposits
and a copy of the signed booking form which much list the occupants of the property. No
other persons may stay overnight. The number in the guest party may not exceed the number
listed on the description.

Should you book a Cuendet property the $15 will be deducted from your booking fee. Checks
for $15 should be made to HOUSES FOR HIRE and sent to our mailing address. We regret that
