If views are a priority look no further for a
large villa rental in Tuscany. It has a super location, huge rooms..the works. Sylvana is
a typical renovated farmhouse on one of the most beautiful hills in the Florentine Chianti
area, set amongst vineyards and olive groves. Various shops can be visited 2 miles away in
San Casciano. Florence is just 14 miles, but leave your car at the local station and take
public transport. The interesting market town of Greve is about 25 miles distant, and San
Gimignano and Radda are within an easy drive. The house is in a peaceful setting and has a
gorgeous panoramic view. There is ample equipped space for dining al fresco on a
covered terrace to the side as well as full terrace with views to the front. Nearby there
is an uninhabited house used as a storeroom. Parking. This is a private, independent
house.
On the ground floor is a dining room with
fireplace and access to the outdoors, a cozy living room with a fireplace and to the far
side front of the house a huge reception room (charades, anyone?) The kitchen has a Tuscan
fireplace for cooking, plus a gas stove (oven), marble countertop enclosing double drain
sinks, 3/4 fridge, separate freezer, big center work table and a retro storage space: it
opens to the covered dining loggia. There is a powder room nearby with WC/sink.
On the top floor are 3 double bedrooms, two of
which have a shower and the other a bathroom, one twin bedded room, and a shower. In a
small tower is another double bedroom. The furniture is comfortable with some family
antiques. Central heating. Telephone: charges will be deducted from your security deposit.
Beds can be added for an extra fee, but please make this clear when booking. Household
help available (charge). Linen and water included. Electricity extra. We think this is one
of Cuendet’s nicest properties for charm and is an excellent value for money. Book
