Near Cabrières d’Avignon   LR   Eat-In Kitchen   2+ BR   2 Baths   Sep. WC

Want to sit on a terrace overlooking a breathtaking view of the Luberon Mountains?  Want to be within walking distance of a nice village where you can pick your croissants hot in the morning?   This terrific Parisian owned hideaway is perfect.

Mirachar is laid out on one floor, with an entry hallway leading to an eat-in kitchen that has a pretty Provencal table which seats six.  The equipment is complete with a dishwasher, full refrigerator, stove, sink, coffee maker, toaster, washing machine, iron and ironing board.

To the right of the entrance is a very large living room (with fireplace) which uses bold color, charming antiques, and a comfortable stuffed sofa to provide a most pleasant effect.  In fact, this flair for uplifting decor can be said for all the rooms in the house; if Mirachar doesn’t cheer you up it is time to refill your Prozac prescription.  Through the French doors the living room leads to a perfect terrace with sweeping "views magnifique" of the Luberon hills.  On the terrace, there is dining furniture for six: you can enjoy your meals al fresco.

Between the kitchen and the first of the twin bedrooms is a bathroom with a handheld shower and a separate WC.  The bedroom beyond is fully furnished and is called the Blue Room.  The Yellow Room, the second twin room, is approached up two steps from the living room.  This is the master bedroom with an en suite bathroom (handheld shower).  The bedroom has French doors opening to the stone-walled garden.  The tiny antique bedroom lies off of the Yellow Room.  It also opens to the private garden.

Mirachar is on the border of the village of Cabrières d’Avignon, making it an exceptionally convenient walk to the local shops: the boulangerie here is famous and visited by far flung enthusiasts.   Your local baker will have your baguette ready and waiting, and you can plop those post cards home in the local post office.

This is where you want to don the espadrilles and play native.  There is too much to do locally to worry about an hour’s drive to Arles or Avignon.  Right in your neighborhood are the gems that made the Luberon famous: Gordes, Roussillon, Menerbes (ask Peter Mayle), Bonnieux, and all the charming hill villages.  See our Restaurant list and Market Day suggestions if you want to keep yourself occupied. The TGV train stop at Avignon is less than one hour away and the RR stops in Cavaillon and Isle-sur-la-Sorgue are even more convenient.   The airport in Marseille is one hour away as well.  The autoroute exits Avignon Sud and Cavaillon are twenty minutes by car.

At Miracmar linens are included in the tariff. Heating, when used, is charged extra.  A security deposit is collected: 1000 FRF on arrival, to be returned on satisfaction of vacancy.

TERMS: 50% deposit on confirmation with the final balance due eight weeks prior to the arrival date. Houses for Hire accepts your check in USD and converts to French Francs. As in all holiday rentals, the guest is expected to leave the premises tidy with trash removed and broom swept.
